Step 1<\/h3>\n

Make a selection on a new layer with the rectangular marquee tool (M)<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\"cone3\"<\/a>\u00a0\"cone-2\"<\/a>Press the “G” key to select the gradient tool.<\/p>\n

Select linear gradient and the copper preset.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Click and drag from left to right in the image window.<\/p>\n

TIP Hold down the Shift key to constrain to perfect horizontal line..<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 4<\/h3>\n

\"cone4\"<\/a>CMD\/CTRL+T brings up the free transform tool.\u00a0PC: left click\/Mac: CMD Click – select Perspective.<\/p>\n

Drag the top corner into the middle.<\/p>\n

Click Enter\/Return and you have a cone. This is also a great method to produce a triangle.<\/p>\n

Step 5<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\"cone5\"<\/a>Now for the rounded bottom to make it look more realistic.<\/p>\n

make a selection with the elliptic selection tool.<\/p>\n

TIP: Hold down the space bar while drawing to move a selection.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 6<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\"cone6\"<\/a>Now add a retangular selection by holding down the shift key. you will see a + which means you are adding to a selection.<\/p>\n

Press CMD\/CTRL+Shift+I to invert the selection.<\/p>\n

Press the Delete key, and you have your finished cone<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 7<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\"rocketshiptnail\"<\/a>\u00a0\"cone\"<\/a>\u00a0Here is the finished cone with a drop shadow added.<\/p>\n

This is the same method I used to make the nose of my Rocketship.<\/p>\n

To produce tenticles, just create a tall thin cone and then go to filter>Distort>shear
\nDrag the line into a curve and hit OK!<\/p>\n
