I&#8217;m making this tutorial because some things have changed in photoshop and I want to show the newest and best way to achieve the blending or fading effect. I&#8217;m also offering a way to have more flexibility and some different options to blend all the edges, not just one edge.<\/p>\n<p>Here I our Photo on a layer, with a pattern in the background that we will fade into. As you can see, you can keep nesting Layer groups and adding masks to each one.
